Capturing Alaska

So it begins... Two days of capturing data. Well, not capturing, it was more like updating. After what felt like a slow start on day one, we managed to get into a good rhythm of asking permission, capturing the missing data and snapping a photograph of relevant points of interests, taps and health hazards. As I was manning the GPS device, I had to try and be at multiple places at once.

I am not going to lie, it was tough. For all of us. There was a lot of ground to cover. But we pulled through and updated all the dwellings, shops, shebeens taps and hazards we needed to. Let us say I now know why data is so expensive.

So all I can say for now is: watch this space! There will be more trials and tribulations to come.
